Ryan came to us on 11/10/19 because his owner was becoming homeless. When his older friend passed, he met Snowflake & Snowdrop who came to us on 11/23/19 from the Ithaca Rescue.

UPDATE 12/7/19 on Ryan:
“Ryan is quite cuddly and loves head scratches. He often comes to sit with me when all the boys are out playing and has slowed down a little in his older years. A very soft and loving boy.”
UPDATE 4/20/20 on the girls:
“Snowflake is an outgoing, inquisitive, and enthusiastic rat. She loves to steal things for her nest, including teddies to cuddle with (see pictures). She craves attention and to be in the ‘great outdoors’ (read ‘outside of her cage’). She is still skittish when it comes to human interaction and she won’t be petted (she’s far too busy for that anyway!), but she will take treats from the hand and will tolerate being picked up. When all rats are out together on the floor and I sit with them, she will crawl all over me.
Snowdrop is a sweet and docile girl who loves to take it easy in life. She loves to cuddle with her cage mates and enjoy her new-found safety and security. She will take treats from the hand and can be picked up but doesn’t tolerate being petted. When she is out with me and her cage mates on the floor, she will climb all over me and is extremely inquisitive.”
UPDATE 9/10/20:
“The crew is doing fantastically. I can now pick up the girls with minimal squirming and Ryan is just as cuddly and sweet as ever. ”
