UPDATE 9/7/20:
“Bear is a big sweetheart! He likes to come over for some scritches or ride around in my hoodie and explore. He’s pretty laid back once he’s out of the cage but he is a little squirmy to pick up (he’s much happier coming out on his own and climbing on you). He is also very fond of any and all snacks, of course. He has never tried to bite. His only hangup is his general unease/dislike of other male rats. Even when passing by the other cages with boys in them he will start to get a little agitated. He was pretty gentle with my spayed girls but they only ever had one play session together so it’s hard to say for sure. I think he would do well with girls if introduced slowly.”
