UPDATE 11/22/16:
“WOW! What sweethearts. If you look up the word wonderful in the dictionary, you would probably see a picture of Chestnut and Papaya. Even after such a short time of having them, I am extremely confident that these boys would fit well in any situation. Have a little kids? These are the rats for you. They are calm, they are gentle and very easy to handle. Looking for some boys that would probably love to live with a lady friend? Here you go. New to rats? These young guys are the perfect starter rats. And I guarantee they will make you addicted to ratties!!
And on top of all this, they are really cute! Who doesn’t love a Dumbo? Papaya is such a handsome guy. And little Chestnut with his racing stripe on his head is just too adorable.
Give yourself an early Christmas present.?”
UPDATE 12/1/16:
“Well! These boys just keep getting better and better! They have completely settled in. They are such attention hogs. Every time someone walks by the cage, two little faces pop up and look hopeful. Maybe it is for a Yogie, or other treat, but more often they just want out to play.
I do think that any situation would work with these boys. They are so wonderful to handle. So they would be perfect for kids. Papaya is the more snuggly of the two. Chestnut seems to like to explore a little more. But they both love to use me for a climbing post. And after they tire out, they will both settle in nicely.
They have discovered their wheel! It took a few days, but now they are very interested in it. I put a toy box (tissue box) in with a bunch of stuff in it (paper towel, sticks, bird toys) and they will decorate the cage with the treasures.
LOVE these guys. A bit too much, so please, someone, adopt them!!!!!!!!”
