UPDATE 12/2/16:

“The boys are doing really really well!  They would benefit from a home with other social rats. They are really coming out of their shells; the longer they are out and with me, the more social they are. Both boys will happily stay in a hoodie or in a blanket on my lap. They take treats very gently but are still a little shy. They are always found cuddled up together and are extremely bonded.

Bruce is more outgoing than Lemmy. He likes to explore on his own terms and doesn’t mind being held and getting pet. He does like to nibble, though. He has never bitten, but he will “taste test” fingers and he will let you know if he doesn’t want you in his igloo. Because of this, these boys would be best suited in a home with no small children and with people that can respect his ways.

Lemmy is more timid than his brother, but if you approach him slowly and gently, he responds well. He follows Bruce everywhere and he has a kink in his tail, which is how I tell them apart. Lemmy is such a sweet boy who needs a pep talk every now and then, but if you take your time with him, he will brux and boggle happily in your lap!

These boys have come such a long way since I began fostering them in July. They have grown physically and their personalities have really blossomed. They both come running whenever they hear me shake the treat container! Whoever adopts these boys will be sure to fall right in love with them!”

UPDATE 2/26/17:

“These boys are doing fabulously 🙂  Their favorite place to sleep is in the igloo.  As soon as they hear the treat container, they wake up and run to the front of the cage.  They both greet me at the cage door whenever I open it, eagerly awaiting pets and yummy treats.  These boys are both so gentle, including Bruce when he “taste tests” fingers.  Neither boy has ever bitten!”
