UPDATE 8/12/22:

“They have definitely made progress. They all come to the front of the cage when I come in the room (provided they’re awake). We’ve been doing a lot of syringe ‘training’, as well as me putting baby food on my hand and letting them lick it in the cage. They still have a bit of startle reflex, even though I open the cage door multiple times per day. I’ve been nipped a couple of times, once very early on when I reached in under some fleece.

I free range them mostly on my desk, and they are much better about being petted. They’re much more interested in running around than in being handled. None of them particularly like being picked up (I use a piece of fleece when they are in the cage), but usually they tolerate it.

I think wherever they go, they are going to take awhile to settle in and adjust. They”ll need someone who’s patient and willing to continue to work with them

Of the 3, Tic is the most outgoing in terms of approachability and tolerating being held. Tac is probably the least outgoing with me, though does take great comfort in her sisters. Toe is somewhere in between. She’s been remarkably tolerant of me picking her up. The 3 are definitely bonded.”
