UPDATE 4/20/21:
“Thrain and Thorin are some of the sweetest rats I have had the pleasure of fostering. I was told they are father and son. Thrain is the more outgoing. He is first to the front of the cage, waiting for whatever surprise is coming. Thorin is a little more reserved. That is until they are out and around for play time! I take them into my bathroom, which I have set up with different things to play with or climb on or in. And I go and sit on the floor with them. They are just so happy to run around. But they love people too, so they are constantly checking in with me, climbing on me. They love attention.
These boys will be awesome for any situation. Someone just starting out with rats will find them so easy to handle. If you are like me and like uncomplicated rats, these are your boys. Maybe you have a lovely spayed lady that wants some brothers? I would think they would do well with the right introductions. Older kids would do great with them. They were obviously loved and handled well in their previous home. They are so gentle taking treats. I am always careful handfeeding, especially when they are new to me. But these guys just take their morning Yogie so sweetly.”
