UPDATE 10/31/24:
The Rescue Rangers are as brave and defiant as their namesakes! Chip, Dale, and Monterey Jack are brothers. Zipper is much younger and still growing. All four get along very well together, and are fairly bonded. They could be adopted as pairs – I recommend Chip and Dale stay together. They cuddle together every night, while the other two tend to keep to themselves. The three brothers are hard to tell apart in appearance and personality. But, Chip got his name first and inspired the theme – he’s got a small “chip” out of his right ear! (I used food coloring to dab blue on Dale’s tail and red on Monerety Jack’s). Zipper is simply much smaller and younger.
They have undoubtedly faced some difficulties in life before coming into my care, but they act like the total opposite! Even when being thoroughly wetted and scrubbed during a bath, all four were gentlemanly and patient. They didn’t shun me for even half a second after being dried with a (gentle) blow dryer! All three brothers are rambunctious and full of energy, love being tickled, don’t mind being picked up, and are determined to crawl up onto their humans at every moment. They honestly don’t care if they use fabric or bare skin to do so LOL! I feel bad going to work every morning – they know my routine, and will sit at the cage bars and stare at me until I go say goodbye. All three of them prefer their Oxbow food over 90% of the treats I’ve tried to give them. They toss aside fruit, veg, and sweets alike – but when I refill their food bowl, all hell breaks loose!
In an adorable, hop-skip-and-jump way, of course. Zipper is the odd one out but certainly does not let that phase him. He runs away from pets, which is unfortunate since his fur is SO SOFT! He will join in with the trio when it comes to climbing on humans and being a loveable menace to society, but does seem to prefer marching to the beat of his own drum. He won’t be picked up without a struggle, but would never hurt a fly. He LOVES FOOD SO MUCH – I once put a boiled egg into a bowl during play time, and he picked the entire thing up and ran away into the sunset with it LOL!
All four boys are sneaky and fast, defying gravity to get to the top of the cage when I’m not looking. They are truly the bravest PEW’s I’ve ever heard of, bad eyesight be damned. A running wheel and long sleeves are mandatory for adopting this crew. 🙂 I would also love to see them have tons of space to run and pop around in, as they have constant ‘zoomies’!
