These girls came to us on 4/15/22 as part of an oops litter their owner could no longer keep.

Fostered by Whitney in Auburn, ME.

UPDATE 5/11/22:

“All the girls are shy, they do not like to be pet or picked up. Usually they just run away, but Beanie or Bonnet (I still struggle to tell the difference) has bitten me once (fully my fault, I put my hand through the door of the hide she was in and tried to pick her up while cornered). Once the grabbing is done, they will stay in your hands/arms with just a bit or squirming, they are nervous but kind. They will take treats from your hand, and if you rest your hand in the cage they will come over to sniff you.

Fez is the most curious, she will gently nibble fingers, accepts some pets, takes most treats, and is much better at being picked up.

Sombrero takes some treats and accepts pets well, and is doing okay with being picked up.

Beanie and Bonnet will rarely accept treats from your hand, and squirm and squeak when picked up, though they are getting better.”

UPDATE 6/25/22:

“They are all still shy and don’t particularly want to be bothered, but they are getting so much better. The twins don’t fight so much about being picked up anymore, and all will come over to get treats (if it’s something they like, haha)! When they’re in the cage they like to come to the edge and watch us, upon opening the cage they scoot back but are still curious. They’ll do a few quick sniffs and generally ignore a hand placed in the cage.”
