These boys came to us on 1/18/18 from an Oops Litter with their mommy Big Cheese. She had a surprise second litter as soon as these boys and their siblings were weaned. The boys were adopted in March 2018 but came back to us in April because they were just too shy.

Fostered by Leanne in South Boston, MA.

UPDATE 2/17/18:

Earl Grey is the friendliest of the boys. He likes to sit on shoulders and snuggle in hoodies.

Darjeeling is the explorer of the group.

Chai is very shy. He prefers to hide in a pouch but will let you pet him while he is hiding.”

UPDATE 5/18/18:

“The Tea Boys are sweet guys but very nervous. They would do best in a quiet home with an experienced rat adopter with no children. All three boys will come to the front of the cage to greet me, but always hide when I open the cage door. It takes patience to coax them back to the front to take their treats. During free range time, they prefer to lay in a pile under a blanket in my lap. They will poke their heads out and occasionally will explore the space a little but any loud noises or movement will send the scurrying back under the blanket. All three will let you scoop them up with two hands, but don’t enjoy being held.

Earl Grey is the most outgoing of the three. He is the first to take treats and will snuggle against my arm during free range time.

Chai is the shyest of the boys and spends most of his time following Earl Grey around. These two are inseparable.

Darjeeling beats to his own drum. He wants to be curious but his nervousness gets the best of him. As a result, he will come up to greet but when he runs out of bravery he tries to grab treats roughly instead of politely taking them like his brothers. He is the most mouthy of the bunch so it would be best he live with someone who understands that when he uses his mouth he isn’t trying to bite–just exploring things.”
