These boys came to us on 10/23/18 because they were part of an oops litter. They were neutered on 12/5/18 and will be safe to live with ladies 12/26/18.
Fostered by Danielle in Townshend, VT or Beverly, MA (the foster is able to travel relatively easily between these locations).

#2018645N, “Taco”, Rat, Pink-Eyed-White, , Dumbo Ears/Rex Coat, Male, DOB: 09/08/2018, Spayed/Neutered?: Yes 12/5/18
UPDATE 10/23/18:
“Taco and Tamale are both very sweet, very loving babies. They’re less curious about the world than some of their siblings, and would generally prefer to sit in a lap or on a shoulder until they’re ready to explore. Hands in the cage are likely to receive kisses and gentle grooming, and treats are taken without hesitation.”
UPDATE 11/5/18:
“Both boys are doing really well, and are still super sweet and curious during playtime. Taco is one of the most relaxed rats I’ve ever seen; if I catch him in the right mood I can hold him under the arms and he’ll sit and dangle there comfortably for a while. Tamale is curious about hair, every time he sits on my shoulder I end up with him pawing at my hair and trying to clean it, sometimes even climbing on top of my head. These boys have the biggest appetite of any rats I’ve ever had, and they’re really good about eating their veggies.”
UPDATE 11/27/18
“Both are doing well! I’ve introduced them to bobbing for veggies and they’re taking to it like little otters! I’ve even seen them dunk their snouts under a few times. I think with a little more practice they’ll be natural swimmers! They’re both perfectly happy to sit on my lap with a treat while I trim their nails for them, and are overall very well mannered little gentlemen (even if they can be little crybabies sometimes.)”
