#2024009N, “Stella”, Rat, Black and White, Hooded, Standard Ears/Standard Coat, Female, DOB: 01/11/2023, Spayed/Neutered?: No
UPDATE 4/18/24:
“They are always slow to come out, choosing to jump onto my arm and shoulder and then look around and wait until they are confident that it’s safe to jump down and then they cautiously explore and keep hidden for a bit, and if I make a loud noise they run and hide, but after a little time they are fine.”
UPDATE 4/5/24:
“Stella and Sage desperately want a new home with rats their ages 😉
They are constantly out playing and running all over me for attention. They’d do great with a loving, attentive caretaker who has young rats.”
UPDATE 3/12/24:
“Sage and Stella are intact, variegated, hooded, adolescent females who are both mammary tumor removal survivors. Both were quite nervous, but have socialized well and now love to climb out onto your clothed forearm and shoulder.
Together they are energetic, inquisitive, fun loving girls who popcorn around and try their damnedest to get into areas I’ve cordoned off from them
They would be happiest in a home in which they can free roam often. They would also be excellent moving to a new forever home with resident rats already.”
UPDATE 2/25/24:
“Sage is a bit more socialized than her sister but they both will climb out into my clothed forearm and up into my neck and back. … Both will now willingly do this in order to come out for free roam as long as I soothingly talk to them and keep my face away so they can walk over to my back as I’m leaning over with arm at cage door. They are not confident enough to walk onto my hand and don’t let me pick them up, but will eventually.
They are sweet and love to get their heads and backs pet and scratched. They love to run around in their cage and love toys and treats! ”
