Sable and Wulfhild came to us on 11/27/21 from another shelter that didn’t have space for them. Sketch came to us on 10/23/21 from a home with many oops litters.

UPDATE 12/29/21:
“These three have all come from different backgrounds but have blended into a wonderful mischief of personalities.
Sable is always the first at the gate and out the door when it is free roam time. She can be timid at times. She can often be found cuddling with Sable or Wulfhild. She tends to occasionally test things out with her teeth. She can be picked up and handled but she would prefer to come and go on her terms.
Sketch is the most timid of the group. She loves to explore and climb anyone\anything during free roam. You will also find her in places she should not be the second you take your eyes off of her. She also likes to explore with her teeth. Nothing bitey or nippy per se, but you want to be ready for it when she’s near your fingers, ankles or ear lobes. She can also be picked up and handled but she is one that would prefer to interact on her terms not yours. She is a big fan of being under blankets or inside a hoodie sweatshirt. Sketch is also a master nest builder when given toilet paper and strips of newspaper.
Wulfhild is the big squish of the group. I’m pretty sure he is blind in his left eye and probably doesn’t have the greatest vision overall, but he has no problems getting around. He has no issues being picked up or handled, but due to his vision you want to make sure he is aware that your hands are nearby or you could startle him and get nipped.
It’s hard to say who the alpha of the group is. Wulfhild loves to wrestle and pin Sable any chance he gets though he is pretty wary of Sketch as she will have none of his shenanigans and she doesn’t play fair when wrestling him. Pretty sure she knows his vision is poor and she takes full advantage by fighting him from all sides: front, back & sideways in rapid succession. However, Sable usually gets the better of Sketch during their play wrestling.
By far the favorite time for all three is our nightly couch\tv cuddle time. They’ll either sit inside my hoodie or cuddle under a blanket while me and my wife watch TV. Lots of pancaking and boggling from all three.
Everyone does a great job of using their litter boxes and I haven’t found a food or treat that they haven’t loved. I can get all three to come running at the shake of the banana chip bag or mini-M&M tube.
The girls can be a bit cage territorial, so it is wise to not stick fingers through bars or to try giving scritches while they are in enclosed areas in the cage (i.e. space pods, covered hammocks, etc.).
I would say that due to some of their “teethiness” that they are best suited for experienced rat owners and probably not suited for younger children.”
