#2019366N, “Groot”, Rat, Black, , Dumbo Ears/Standard Coat, Male, DOB: 05/18/2019, Spayed/Neutered?: No

UPDATE 8/7/19:

“Both Rocket and Groot are very energetic, curious, and adventurous. They love exploring and play fighting. Rocket is friendly and personable, and is starting to come over when you call him. Groot is a bit more shy, but is starting to get friendlier with people.

Rocket and Groot always come to the front of the cage when it’s time to come out and are fine taking food from human hands. Neither is too fond of being held just yet, as they’re still young, but Rocket is starting to get used to it. Groot may take a little extra time to get used to people, and still runs when I try to grab him. They chew on basically anything they can, and love running around through hidey houses and huts.

They haven’t been trained on litter boxes yet. They’ve only really been in my care, so aren’t familiar with children or other animals. They’re also not too fond of my other adult male rats, and vice versa, so I keep the groups separate. They have a playpen they run around in every night. They’ve never bitten me, and I doubt they ever will bite a human, unless they’re really scared.”
