UPDATE 12/29/21:
“Princess Leia is a great rat that embodies the key ratty characteristics. She is friendly, likes humans, and also loves adventures. She quite enjoys head and shoulder pets when she’s calm and is bold enough to explore the environment even when she is nervous. Right now she is not used to getting picked up. However, she does not struggle that much, and I believe she’ll become comfortable on human hands and shoulders very soon.
Trixie is an active, courageous, and smart rat! If you are looking for a rat that’s always on the go, she is perfect. She is bolder than her sisters, and I believe she can pick up some tricks quickly. Her coat is short and tight, and more sparse compared to the other rats’. Her unique look combined with her sparkling personality makes her very special. She does have a habit of grabbing at people’s fingers with teeth when she thought they were food. We are working on correcting this habit and are making progress.
Pixie is the timidest in the litter. She doesn’t want to explore when unsure of the environment. However, she has been less nervous since she arrived. I would predict that she can still learn to be a confident rat within time, provided that people keep up with her socialization training. She is pretty gentle and has the cutest round little face. She can be a very sweet rat once she’s more comfortable with being handled.
Lexie looks and acts like her sister Pixie. Their energy levels are very similar. But Lexie is bolder overall and more curious. She is getting used to being picked up and is very open to learning new things. She is also gentle towards human hands, but not so gentle towards food: she gobbles food down and always asks for more.”
