UPDATE 8/30/21:

“Phillip seems to be the “follower” in this mischief of two. He is more shy and reserved, and tends to hide when I approach. Once I scoop him from the cage, he enjoys petting for a few minutes but seems lost without Harry.

Harry is definitely the leader of the pair, and tends to get a bit upset if i try to touch Phillip. Neither have bitten, but I am hoping the neuters will help me feel a little better about it, as I am still careful. I have to take Harry out of the cage first, so that he doesn’t think I am stealing his friend. When I have him out, he seems to constantly want to get back in with Phillip, and Phillip comes to the cage door looking for Harry. These two are very bonded and should remain together. If I am holding both at the same time, they will bury their noses into each other.

Both boys are good eaters, and take treats nicely. Harry is a little man, while Phillip is a bit hefty. They keep the cage pretty neat, using the litter box more than 50%. They do like to take the fleece scraps and hide their food bowl!

I don’t think adding another male to this pair would work, at least not for a while, but I do think a couple of girls could make them happy when they are ready!”
