Phil was surrendered to MRR when his owner moved overseas. He was made a sanctuary rat as a companion to Jerry.

Phil is still coming out of his shell. He doesn’t enjoy being picked up and will often retreat to his hide when approached. Despite this, he’ll stick around for a nice scratch. If he gets half a chance, Phil will cram as much food as he can in his mouth and go off to enjoy his private meal. He’s definitely a hoarder.
