UPDATE 7/26/22:

“Peanut and Poconos are shy but very sweet. Neither have ever bitten or had an accident outside the cage during free roam, and I haven’t seen them squabble with each other even once since they arrived. Both enjoy pets but there’s a learning curve to picking them up without freaking them out. They have gotten much better about being picked up in only a month so I feel confident that they’ll come around with consistent handling. Both have very little fur and molt once every three weeks.

Peanut is the smaller one and very playful, sneaky and quick. If you tap her on the back she will ping pong around the cage and come back for more! She likes to explore in and out of the cage but doesn’t venture far–she’s still timid and despairs easily from sudden noises.

Poconos is the more mellow rat, who prefers to sleep in the mornings when Peanut is ready to play. She’s a little larger and less inquisitive than her sister, but can become very playful when she’s in the mood.”
