These boys came to us on 10/29/21 because their owner didn’t have enough time for them anymore.

Fostered by Ashley in Stoughton, MA.

ADOPTED!

#2021866N, “Peanut”, Rat, Blue, Berkshire w/ Head Spot, Standard Ears/Standard Coat, Male, DOB: 02/01/2021, Spayed/Neutered?: No

#2021867N, “Lima Bean”, Rat, Blue, Berkshire, Standard Ears/Standard Coat, Male, DOB: 02/01/2021, Spayed/Neutered?: No

#2021868N, “Split Pea”, Rat, Agouti, Berkshire, Standard Ears/Standard Coat, Male, DOB: 02/01/2021, Spayed/Neutered?: No

Special need: Peanut has hind leg mobility issues and requires long-term pain management to allow full mobility. Our vet believes this is not due to age, but an old injury and resulting muscle loss.

UPDATE 11/4/21:

“Peanut is a friendly, curious boy. Wants to come out and be involved. Likes being handled.

Lima Bean is skittish but very curious and loves to explore. Also deciding be likes people.

Split Pea is very quiet and easy going. Not super interested in humans yet.

All 3 are very sweet boys. Nervous about being handled but have not shown any aggression or defensiveness. Duncan can be a little mouthy he will nibble your fingers checking to see if you have treatos. They are big home bodies and love their cage but they are learning that outside play time can be fun! They are also learning that people mean love and treats!!!”

UPDATE 11/29/21:

“Peanut’s limp doesn’t seem like something he will “recover” from. Its an old injury and he has obvious muscle loss on that leg. That being said it’s he gets around like a pro and doesn’t seem to be in obvious discomfort from it. I think adopters just need to be aware of it and have meds on hand for him if he starts to worsen in anyway. The vet had agreed that there didn’t seem to be any tumors or breaks in that leg. Other than that, he’s a giant sweet moosh ball.

The other two boys are in great health! They are athletic and love tickle fights. They’ve gotten so much better around people but still will be dramatic about being picked up. And Lima Bean nips in the cage-but is fine outside of it. (he’s gotten me 2 or 3 times when I’m looking for Peanut ? or changing food or something) he’s sneaky.”
