Nancy started fostering for MRR in 2023. In 2024 she became Foster Care Manager. She is also a member of the MRR Board of Directors.
Nancy has been working in animal rescue virtually her entire life. Her mother was a licensed wildlife rehabilitator, so their home had a menagerie of various wild and domestic animals at any given time. As an adult, Nancy has rescued and adopted birds for over 40 years and has served on the Boards of several avian nonprofit organizations.
A 42-year veteran teacher, Nancy also worked for many years as a wildlife educator and zookeeper for The Creature Teachers in Littleton MA. Since retiring, she has volunteered for the New Hampshire SPCA, caring for small animals and helping with the Humane Education Department programs and special events.
Besides her husband, Nancy shares her home with her rescued bunny, birds, rats, mouse and dog.
