UPDATE 5/16/22:
“Mr. Yang is definitely the most gentle rat I’ve come across when it comes to humans – he’s totally like putty in your hands, and is very gentle and friendly. It’s very difficult to get a front facing picture of him given how much he wants to get close to you when you approach him. He’s a master escape artist, figuring out how to get out of his playpen in record time, but I think that it’s just part of a very inquisitive and explorative nature – the only time he might try to escape someone holding him is to go explore something else that interests him. Although I’ve never witnessed a bite in particular, he is definitely fairly dominant over other rats, but it really did seem that most of the time the two were getting along just fine, and he seemed quite intent on spending time cuddling together.”
