UPDATE 8/1/16:
“These boys are extremely sweet, although quite scared right now. They are very gentle and with a lot of love and patience, they will blossom into some loving, fun little guys. They would be wonderful with older kids right now, who could watch their progression from scared little rats to a pair of super adorable rat boys. And once they are comfortable, I think they’d be ok with younger kids.
Leland is definitely the more outgoing of the pair. He will already come to check me out when I start talking to them.
Lyle is a bit more shy. As with many PEW’s, I think his poor vision makes him more cautious.
I can put my hand in the cage and they will both sniff me. Not bad for being here for less than 48 hours! They are pretty easy to pick up and while squirmy, once I bring them into my body, they settle. And if you have other rats already, I bet they’d be fit in wonderfully with either a lonely single rat or a group.”
