Rosie first came to us with her sister Layla on 2/21/22 because their original owner no longer had time for them.  They were adopted on 9/4/22.  They returned to us on 7/5/23 because their new owner had become allergic to them. Layla passed suddenly on 11/23/23 leaving Rosie in need of a companion.

#2022062N, “Rosie”, Guinea Pig, Cream, , American, Female, DOB: 08/20/2021, Spayed/Neutered?: No

UPDATE 11/23/23:

“Rosie lost her best friend Thanksgiving 2023 unexpectedly. Rosie is heartbroken, and a very scared little Guinea pig. She’s looking for a caring individual with an abundance of patience to help her become more sociable and make new friends.”

UPDATE 8/29/23:

“Layla and Rosie are sooo soft. Though Layla remains the braver of the two, they’re both becoming more confident in being out in the open. They get excited when they know veggies are coming. Usually a picture is worth a thousand words, but pictures of these girls don’t show some of their more interesting coloration. They both have white/cream bellies and both white and black nails. Layla has one white hind leg and one black foot.

The girls need to be picked up by someone who knows how to avoid their feet. So, I would advise against kids picking them up. Both girls scrabble furiously and their nails can hurt. When I’m just socializing them, I’ll wait for them to run into a covered hide and pick the whole thing up, and they’re usually ok with being on my lap and getting petted while they’re still in the hide. I can’t really do health checks that way though, so I use a fleece blanket or washable puppy pad to pick them up for that. Also, they’re protective of each other. When I pick one up for a health check, the other cusses me out.”

UPDATE 7/14/23:

“These two girls are quite shy but I’ve found they’ve been warming up to me quite quickly as I spend more time with them. Layla is more curious than Rosie, who is shyer and likes to stay under her hides. ”
