UPDATE 4/8/25:
Kiki (black hooded) is incredibly sweet and friendly. She is always quick to greet visitors to the cage, and will find any opportunity to climb and play. She enjoys sitting on her human’s shoulder and getting into mischief. She needs an owner who has lots of time to spend cuddling and playing with her.
Ponyo (Agouti) is more shy and does not like to be handled. She will occasionally bite if startled by someone reaching into her hammock. However, she is just as fond of running around and is comfortable with taking food from my hands, her favorites being carrots and grapes. She loves climbing, sleeping in her hammock, and running on large wheels.
Kiki and Ponyo get along well and would likely thrive around other rats. They are not picky eaters and especially like pumpkin seeds and shredded wheat cereal as treats.
