UPDATE 7/5/23:
“Jelly Bean is the most outgoing of these two girls. She is demands snacks during treat time, but is less thrilled about handling. She has an explorer’s spirit and is very inquisitive about her surroundings. When she wants something, she is very determined to obtain it (for example, she is one of the most persistent rats at getting veggies out of the spring and off of hanging kabobs). She is prone to nipping fingers in search of food, but it’s only ever exploratory- she has not broken skin.
Lunabelle is the least interested in humans. She is not interested in sparing me the time of day. She would rather steal snacks from her sister than come to me to get them (although I am working on this by specifically seeking her out to put them in front of her face- we seem to be making progress with this method). She is very handleable when held, however, she just isn’t keen on it.”
