UPDATE 1/5/26:
Hera – Mother to the litter. Very brave and adventurous. She is always the first one to explore during free roam times. She’s started to give little kisses too.
Demeter – Sister to Hera, Aunt to the rest. She’s more reserved than her sister and prefers cuddling in her nest over playing. She has met big cuddly boy rats and really would love to spend more time with them. She does not like anyone to reach into her hide or hammock when she is in them – she may bite. She is fine once she is out.
Artemis – Constantly seeking attention. Always the first at the door looking for pets and treats. During free roam time she’s running around as much as her Mom.
Persephone – She is very friendly and adventurous. When she’s ready to explore, she’ll be running all over too.
Clio – Probably the shyest of the group, but also very sweet. She’ll gladly cuddle on your chest or shoulder while the others play.
Calliope – Likes to get attention and is adventurous when she’s out. Sometimes gets too excited for treats and can mistake a finger for a snack before she quickly realizes her error.
Eris – She can be a bit nervous and squirmy when being handled but is very playful once she’s comfortable.
UPDATE 10/27/25:
Hera (Mom) and Demeter (Aunt) are close and it would be best for them to go together. Both can be timid and will nip if startled or agitated. They aren’t aggressive, but I wouldn’t put them in a home with young children.
The babies do spend time with each adult, but there’s no preference to who they cuddle with.
The babies are all playful and curious. The girls are a bit more timid on free roam time. They will climb all over you in the cage without hesitation. The boys are much more outgoing during free roam time and love running around everywhere. With only 3 boys, it would be good if someone took all instead of breaking them up.
Everyone is a standard PEW and there aren’t really any defining visual characteristics aside for slight size differences now.
