UPDATE 6/26/21:

“Glaze is a fearless explorer. She was at the front of the cage within a few hours of coming to her foster home ready to sniff (and gently taste) my hand. She absolutely LOVES her running wheel, climbing as high as she can go, and squatting on her lava ledge to watch me. She is not used to being picked up, but is getting more tolerant, especially outside of her cage. She does need to be monitored closely during free play time because she is not afraid to explore any little crack or crevice and she can jump farther than you think!

Sprinkles is the shy one, but I’m so impressed with the courage she’s gained over these last few weeks! At first, she would hang out in her space pod, and all I would ever see was her nose sticking out. She’s starting to learn that I bring good things and she comes out more and more each day when I approach the cage. Like her friend Glaze, she is not used to being picked up, but is getting more tolerant. During free-play time she sticks close to her home base nibbling snacks for the first few minutes, but eventually she realizes it’s OK to explore. Even with her nerves, she has never been mouthy, and I think she will continue to blossom in a loving home that takes it slow with her. Oh, and she will snatch those treats up real quick – watch your fingertips.”
