UPDATE 5/25/22:

“Frank and Chi are very sweet boys. They will let you pet them while in the cage and neither of them have bit anyone who has tried to pet or hold them.

Frank is laid back when it comes to being pet. He is very calm and patient. When being taken out of the cage he gets nervous and moves around quickly trying to get away. He tends to relax in the igloos or in boxes. He has begun to take snacks out of our hands most of the time.

Chi is younger than Frank and was found as a stray in a chicken coop. He is very nervous but has found comfort with following Frank and cuddling with him. If you approach him quietly and slowly he may allow you to pet him and does at times take snacks from your hand. Sometimes he prefers if leave it next to him. When trying to get him out of the cage he gets very scared. I would recommend only taking him out in a small room, bath tub, or in a rat play area in case he gets loose so that it is easier to catch him as he is very skittish.”
