Rosie came to us on 4/30/23 after giving birth to an oops litter on 4/22/23.
Fostered by Jamie in Lancaster, MA.
UPDATE 7/11/23:
“I just cannot say enough good things about Rosie and Thread. They’re so energetic and curious and clever and friendly! Their cage is in the middle of our hallway right now because they love having all the people walking by to chat with them. They’re not at all phased by our cats or attention from our lively kids. They have excellent litter box manners. Their only issue is that they get nervous having outside the cage playtime alone and prefer low lighting and for a person to sit with them to be home base. ”
UPDATE 5/28/23:
“Rosie is mama to these eight but I doubt she’s more than five months old herself and is very slim and dainty. The largest of the litter are nearly as big as she is already. Other than the first week, Rosie has been an angel about letting us mess with the babies to weigh and check on them even though she was new here. She’s a very friendly, curious girl and her favourite spot is right at the front of the cage so she can be in on everything that’s happening. She much prefers her outside the cage playtime to be with her people rather than being put down in a play space with only rodent company.
Frog started out as the largest girl and is now the smallest. She’s very sweet and snuggly and looks and acts so much like her mama I sometimes mix them up.
Pin is the only Agouti girl. She’s a little timid about new places but lightning fast and loves to play chase once she’s had a chance to warm up to a new location.
We call Ribbon and Thread “The Wonder Twins.” They’ve been within a gram of each other’s weights since birth and they are always right out in front digging and shoving their noses into every new thing.
Button started out as the smallest boy but has always had a very big personality. If something is happening, his nose is in it. If there’s a game, he’s playing too, and he wants people attention as often as possible.
Cufflink is our lively boy. He’s long and slender and full of energy. He loves to play chase and tickle games and will come jump on you to get attention. It was tricky to get a photo of him where he wasn’t digging in the paper!
Snap is a puffball of ceaseless movement. His fur is often sticking straight out and he’s incredibly soft. Though you have to get your pets with him on the go because he has Important Business to get into!
I think Toggle is destined to be one of those super large, snuggle bug rats you sometimes come across. He’s the only baby who regularly stays still for pets. He loves a good tickle session too, though! ”
