Edward came to us on 4/23/19 because his owner was having surgery and didn’t have anyone to take care of all of their pets while they healed.

Fostered by Mary in Lebanon, NH.

ADOPTED!

#2019182N, “Edward”, Mouse, Black and White, Male, DOB: 03/13/2019, Spayed/Neutered?: No

UPDATE 5/11/19:

“When Edward first arrived, he seemed like he was going to be quite brave – coming out to investigate his new tank very quickly, and taking a little peanut butter off my finger within a few minutes of being around me. Then he withdrew and seemed to get more skittish for a while, once he had fully (and stinkily!) claimed his whole tank and decided he could hide in his house to avoid any socialization. After two weeks, we’ve made a lot of progress, and today he spent a half an hour sharing my pocket with my hand, and that really seemed to get through to him. He is lovely and sweet, doesn’t nip when licking up peanut butter, and is definitely a homebody, preferring to hang out in his tube or his house most of the time (but when he wants to be out, he is 100% invested in his explorations!).”

UPDATE 11/29/19:

“Edward is a cautious little guy with a secret adventurous streak. He loves to climb and burrow, investigate nooks and crannies, and will do just about anything for a yogie. He secretly wants to run his own pirate ship one day, but the closest he’s gotten so far is hanging upside down off the top of his cage to pretend he’s in the crow’s nest of a ship. Curious, friendly, and energetic, Edward takes some time to warm up to new people, and prefers exploring to being held, but he is always happy to run over and see what you’re doing if you stop to greet him. He would do very well with someone who will handle him daily and help him become more comfortable with people.

I will happily send him home with his popsicle stick house!”

UPDATE 3/13/20:

This little guy is an absolute LOVE! He has come to enjoy little cheek scritches, still adores yogies, tunnels, and ladders, and thinks couch cushions create an alien landscape meant for exploring. Happy birthday Edward!!”
