Cupid came to us on 7/17/23 from an owner who could no longer keep her. Due to some behavioral issues, Cupid was given Sanctuary status.

“When Cupid came to MRR she had unfortunately missed out on interaction with humans during her critical periods of development and was essentially feral. When attempting to develop a bond with a human didn’t seem possible, her foster introduced Cupid to her own rats and they all became fast friends. Happily climbing, playing, foraging and building elaborate burrows with her new ratty family and only being admired from afar by humans she is now able to enjoy her life on her terms. Even if she can’t show it by snuggling with a human she is grateful for the generous support humans give MRR that has allowed her to find happiness after such a difficult beginning.”
