UPDATE 3/27/24:
“Butternut loves attention. Squash tolerates cage pets, but cage time is his “me time”.
When they’re free roaming, they both want attention. Squash will come right over for cuddles and they both love going under a blanket with human for playing and snuggles. Butternut gets zoomies sometimes and likes hand wrestling. Both LOVE snacks.”
UPDATE 3/15/24:
“Both boys are nervous about petting or a hand over them, but will take treats gently. They like exploring during free roam and sniffing everything they can get to.
Butternut (top ear, slightly rex) – more shy. Will sit still for pets if he’s in a hammock and be nervous then relax.
Squash (dumbo, standard coat) – bossier, nosier, doesn’t want pets but will come sniff and say hi. The more food-motivated of them so far. More territorial – hasn’t nipped but has tensed up if he sees a hand coming into the cage.”
