UPDATE 8/2/26:

Lucille (Lucy) Lucy is a wonderful rat with the grumpiest of resting faces – but don’t let that fool you! Though she was never handled before coming to MRR, her personality is forged with gold, and her body is already well suited for crime. The crimes? Only taking your french fries and stealing your heart.
*Lucy is very exploratory with her teeth. She has learned the allowable force to take your finger and pull it into her cage for grooming (like a ferret wanting to show you their babies) so if you have thin skin, please be careful! She likes to gently feel with her teeth!

*Lucy has bitten once during these past 3 months, when a hand moved very quickly overhead. This was the fault of her foster, and Lucy has since learned the word “touch” to strengthen her relationship between her and her caregivers. She does not appreciate being held.

“Food?” We know, Lynn.

Lynette (Lynn) is a wonderful girl who is still learning that she’s in safe hands. She was never handled before coming to MRR. When she first arrived, Lynn would jump at nearly every noise and movement. She has since become a music lover and a big fan of television! Lynn still has a bit of “startle reflex” but she’s never once chosen to fight the vets or fosters. She shows her pure heart and bravery when she attends others rats’ vet visits. Despite her fears, Lynn has only ever reacted with love and curiosity. She’s especially food motivated and loves having dinner with you around 7pm (we think she’s got an internal food alarm, which checks out). She feels at home with a little background noise and some snacks! I mean… who doesn’t like snacks?

Lynn knows the tricks “touch” and “climb” (onto your hand) but she doesn’t appreciate being held. Maybe someday!

These girls will need an experienced adopter.
