UPDATE 9/1/26:
Bella and Beatrice are an adorable pair of piggies with very different personalities.
Bella is full of crazy energy and pushes her way into tight spaces with Beatrice, who sometimes complains a bit about it. Bella has an amazing curly, beautifully colored coat of fur. Her fur will require additional bathing/cleaning and might become knotted, needing trimming and/or brushing. That being said, I have had them for at least a couple of months and she has not needed much assistance with this during that time.
Bella loves to run through and burrow into hay piles and is a lot of fun to watch. She likes brief head rubs or pets, but doesn’t stay still all that long on my lap for cuddling.
Beatrice is an older piggy with cataracts that seem to be affecting her vision (it takes her a minute to find her veggie bowl when I put it down in the enclosure and I sometimes move it closer to her). She also walks as if she might be starting to experience some mild arthritis in her hind legs, but has been vet checked and was determined to have normal strength and range of motion. It should be monitored over time, since arthritis is super common in elderly piggies. Despite her age, Beatrice is super enthusiastic and runs over for treats. Once she is picked up, she completely relaxes and seems to love to be snuggled.
Both ladies run around and wheek very loudly and insistently at dinner time. They have a quirky dynamic and have become less shy over time, allowing their personalities to shine through.
