Ambrose came to MRR on 9/30/25 from a large hoarding situation.
Fostered by Nancy in Hampton, NH.
Sweet Ambrose had a rough start in life, fighting for survival among a large number of other rats. When he came to us, he had injuries that required surgery, including a partial amputation of his toes and tail. He was terrified of humans and was fighting with other rats. Over time, he adjusted somewhat to his new life in a clean, safe home with plenty of food and comfy items. Ambrose still prefers not to share his customized condo with others, but he enjoys brief visits with his foster mom for treats. He will come out for play time as well. He loves creating nests and digging himself into them for long naps. Due to his fear of people and aversion to other rats, Ambrose has been made a sanctuary rat.
