These boys were surrendered on 5/8/26 after they were removed from a classroom situation, and had previously been rescued from a hoard.

UPDATE 8/20/26:
Dumpling and Noodle are both sweet, gentle boys who enjoy human company.
Noodle (standard ears) has been fearless and has taken treats and allowed handling from day one.
Dumpling (dumbo) is a little shyer, but is quickly won over by treats.
Both like pets and shoulder rides and enjoy interacting during playtime. Both seem very docile for intact boys, and we haven’t seen any squabbling between them since they’ve been here. They seem gently curious about their neutered male neighbors upstairs, so slow introductions to other rats may be possible.
Medical note: Noodle has one upper incisor that needs to be monitored for overgrowth, and it may need periodic trims by a veterinarian.
