Elias and his brother Amos came to MRR as part of a large hoarding situation.  They were adopted but sadly returned since they could not get along with the other rats in the home.  Because of their traumatic beginnings and shy nature, it was decided that they would become sanctuary animals.

Fostered by Hannah in Bristol CT.

Elias and his brother Amos are two special boys who started life as part of a hoard, and like all of the rats in the home, they had to fight for survival.  As with any animal, this experience made them cautious and shy.  They came into foster care needing understanding, TLC, and a foster who would love them for who they are.  Fortunately, they found that with their amazing foster mom and are now living their best lives filled with creature comforts, snacks, and other rat friends.  Happy retirement, boys!  We love it when rats get second chances at happy lives.
