Rick came to us with his brother on 10/17/25 because their owner no longer had time for them. He and his brother have since needed to be separated due to them not getting along.

UPDATE 11/11/25:
Rick is shy, and it took him a while to come out more to eat in the open without hiding. Noises still cause him to run for cover. Rick does have a very loud wheek when he is anticipating treats, now that he has come out of his shell more! He tends to be intimidated by getting picked up, but once he is on a lap, he loves the attention and can hang out and be snuggled for a long time. He headbutts the hand petting him to encourage more attention and purrs away.
Rick and his brother, Alberto, have had to be separated due to them not getting along. It is unknown whether or not he would be able to be introduced to another guinea pig.
