UPDATE 12/31/24:
This gentle, curious, and personable young mouse is proving himself to be quite the entertainer! Cocoa Puff, aka Poco, seems happy every time we start to lift the lid of his cage – he either runs right up to our fingers and delicately takes the food offering or does a zoomies dance and then wants to inspect all the scents and stories that our hands always hold. He loves organizing his home and once took the seeds I scattered for him and carefully brought them into his food dish! One of his favorite things is taking food while still running on his “treadmill” wheel, especially if he’s getting his preferred snack of seeds, millet, or tidbits of greens. He’ll happily give you a tiny paw and only used his teeth on the first day to learn about his new world and people. This happy little mouse is likely to spark ongoing joy and giggles as he grows even more comfortable.
