UPDATE 12/31/24:

These guys and gals are all very active, curious, playful and independently social.

Sherrie is the most human oriented of the group. She will sit on my shoulder during playtime and groom my ears. She loves digging and foraging activities. Her favorite treats are gerber puffs. She waits in her little basket on the cage door for me to come and take her out for playtime.

Mars is still learning to trust humans and sometimes I need to wait quietly for a few minutes for him to get inside the igloo to be carried to the play area. He can be a bit grabby taking treats, so young children who may put fingers through cage bars are likely not a great match. A rats rat, he has gotten along with every rat I’ve introduced him to very well.

Frida enjoys the company of humans on her own terms. She happily and gently takes treats from my hand and is easily transported places inside an igloo. She loves running and digging in the dig box during playtime.

Saturn has great rat social skills and has made fast friends with every rat he has met here. A tad shy with humans, he would prefer his humans have a little patience with him while he learns to trust them.
