UPDATE 12/13/24:
The babies are all friendly, inquisitive, love their food and drink and are always jumping on the cage when I walk in the room. They love peanuts in shells and baby puffs. They are busy but handle well.
Mom Bess is defensive and protective with all the babies in the cage. I can give her treats and at times she will sniff and stomp noise to tell me she is watching her babies. I used gloves to be safe and no bites.
