These girls came to us on 3/9/24 because their owner no longer had time for them.

UPDATE 6/8/24:

These girls have made huge progress!
Dale is now comfortable enough to walk on my hand and arm with all four feet. She is still a little jumpy around sudden movements but she is now a lot braver than she was.
Chip is a little explorer! She’s so curious and has to sniff and nibble every new thing in the cage. She enjoys wandering around during play time outside the cage. I have not gotten Chip to climb on my hand yet but she is certainly more comfortable than she was when I first got her.
I have learned that Chip and Dale are not the biggest fan of veggies. I’ll put them in the cage and they’ll disappear eventually but they won’t take them from me. Their favorite snacks are blueberries and corn.

UPDATE 4/17/24:

Dale came to us with complaints of having biting issues. I have not found that at ALL. She is so curious and is always the first one to come down from her hammock to greet me. She has shown no signs of aggression towards my hand- only giving gentle test nibbles. Dale is a little hand shy but that is something that can be worked on. She has already gotten a lot braver around me.

Chip is close behind her sister in curiosity and bravery. She is very sweet and is always quite gentle towards me and her sister. She is also hand shy but has gotten much better in the time I’ve had her.

These girls are FAST. If I make a sudden loud movement they take off into their hammocks. However, they come back down a second later because their curiosity gets the best of them. Their size is misleading because they look a lot younger than they are. Their previous owner got them in January, so by now they are full grown, just tiny! Whoever is lucky enough to adopt these sweet girls will have to be patient with them as they become used to routine noises and handling.
