UPDATE 4/19/18:

“These girls are all a little shy but show great potential. All of them will taste with their teeth from time to time but never break skin–they seem to do it more out of curiosity than fear. They don’t love being picked up or pet in the cage, but are a bit calmer out of the cage or on a lap, and they’re pretty easy to grab despite that. They take treats very gently–their favorites are baby puffs, pasta, and apples. They seem to be about 85% litter trained with no help from me! It took them about 1-2 weeks to fully settle in with me, but now they are very sweet girls. They came from a shelter to which they were surrendered under less-than-ideal circumstances, so I would guess that they suffered some neglect in their first home.

Eowyn is the most confident and always comes over to the front of the cage. She’s also the most likely to use teeth, but as I mentioned she’s very gentle about it. After her spay when she was in pain, she let me pet her and scratch her while she closed her eyes and enjoyed the distraction; it was incredibly cute!

Nutella is the second most confident. She has a little hair loss on one hip and her wrist areas, likely from grooming it off under stress while she was in the shelter or in her first home.

Stubbet, affectionately Stubbs, is the most shy. She came to the previous shelter with a necrotic wound on her tail, so it was amputated under their care. She now has 2-3 inches of it left, but she still regulates heat and balances well. Despite being the shyest of the three, she almost never uses teeth.

These girls would be a wonderful match for a home that understands their likely traumatic past and is willing to give them lots of attention and snacks to earn their love!”
