UPDATE 5/23/17:
“Before their neutering Ben seemed to be a real bitter and even attack when I put my arm in. Now they are doing much better. I have been able to put my hand in, feed them and even pet them now. They are still skittish and run and hide from me when I try to pick them up. But when I do so far I have not had any trouble. They are doing great.”
UPDATE 8/9/17:
“The boys have been doing wonderful. They are socializing great with my other boys; in fact they all have an open cage for most of the day where they go in and out as they please. When it’s time for their treats they both will come up and either take them from my hand, or lately Jerry will even go on my hand to get his. I have had no issues with them biting me, and have even let my grandchildren feed them with no issues. With that being said they still are not a fan of being picked up, Jerry more than Ben. But once I have them and are holding them Ben does not seem to mind it, but both so like to have thier ears and neck scratched and rubbed.
As far as personality, Jerry is my little escape artist. If he can find a way out of anything he will find it, he tries to push doors open, and will climb from top to bottom looking for that small chance he can sneak thru a crack. He is the first to come out and get treats and food and will climb over Ben or any of the others if together to get his first Just don’t show any signs you want to pick him up, or he’s the first to run away.
Ben on the other hand is just plain ok laid back. He will eat his treats as I said will even hang out on your fingers and just take his time eating like he has no care in the world. If he’s going to get a good scratch out of the deal even better. He will lay on your arm and let you do it forever in fact, so unlike his brother. But both are a doll.
Nether one likes frozen strawberries, but will eat fresh berries of any kind. Both dislike raisins but Ben loves grapes, Jerry likes but not loves. Both totally flip for corn on the cob and loves to bob for frozen peas, and of course they are good boys and eats their greens daily.”
