These boys came to us on 6/15/19 because their owner had too many rats! They were neutered on 7/11/19 and will be safe to live with ladies beginning 8/1/19.

UPDATE 7/6/19:

Mickey is the most outgoing. He’s very curious and he’s starting to take treats from my hand.

Peter is quite striking and very shy.

Mike is very interestingly colored. He appears to be a beige capped but he has a siamese nose marking. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a rat with two colors. He is the second most outgoing, also very curious but not quite daring enough to take treats yet.

Davy is very handsome (like Davy Jones in the show). He is also extremely shy

They are all starting to really like greens and fresh vegetables, watermelons, honeydew melons, and bananas. Oatmeal and Cream of Wheat are liked but cooked rice isn’t that appealing to them.

They don’t seem bothered by the dogs and the two curious ones will come to the front of the cage to sniff. (My cats are oblivious to rats in cages so I don’t think they’ve had an encounter).”
