These lovely ladies came into custody on 10/30/2015 after the new family dog would not leave them alone and became obsessed with them in their cage.

Being fostered by Jean of Amston, CT:

ADOPTED:

#2015334N, “Bagel”, Rat, Beige, Berkshire, Rat, Female, DOB: 10/10/2014, Spayed/Neutered?: No

#2015335N, “Ratset”, Rat, Black, Hooded, Rat, Female, DOB: 10/10/2014, Spayed/Neutered?: No

UPDATE 3/14/16:

The rats are energetic and seem very healthy, both like to walk around on your shoulders. I’m not sure about how they would do with very small children because of their activity (hyper) level. They love their wheel, like to snuggle with each other and play (they take turns squealing which freaks out my dog who tends to be an arbitrator!). They don’t seem to be afraid of the dogs.

UPDATE 12/2/15:  (First update from foster family)

Bagel is a happy and energetic little rat. She loves to climb on your shoulder. She has a champagne color fur and enjoys running on the rat wheel. Most of the time she snuggles with her sister, Ratset. Ratset is shy but is very lovable once she is comfortable in a house. Loves staying on people’s shoulders and is very playful. Ratset is black and white with an area of fur on her back that is wavy, and never lays flat. Both of these rats are adorable and have great personalities to be a perfect pets and friends. They are very sweet and come running when you say “treat treat”.
