Due to their fearful nature from their living conditions, as well as being moved to several fosters, it was decided that they would become sanctuary rats.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fostered by Megan in Lynn, MA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rescued from a hoarding situation with his friend Ernie, Bert has come a remarkably long way. Though he arrived incredibly timid and fearful of handling, Bert\u2019s brave nature helped him\u2014and Ernie\u2014transform into incredibly sweet companions. He may be missing a toe, but that doesn\u2019t stop him from being highly active and climbing absolutely everywhere.
