Meet Skittles, Starburst, Marshmallow, and Dash!

These boys are looking for a home where people are willing to go slow and give them the space they need to settle. They have come a long way in foster care, but will likely be very timid in a new situation. They prefer not to be picked up, but can be moved in an igloo or bonding scarf. They will climb on their humans, but on their own terms. They have not bitten – their fear response is to freeze and then run away.

The boys are very food motivated and have begun to climb into their foster mom’s lap when she has a good treat and is sitting still. Sudden movements and loud noises make them nervous, so homes with small children would not be a good fit. It is unknown whether they would do well with introductions to other rats. With time and patience, these boys will continue to gain confidence.

Dash has been the quickest to warm up and is normally one of the first to come out for play.

Marshmallow is a homemaker and loved extra bedding supplies like paper towels

Skittles likes to adventure and climb. He loves to sit atop the cat tower.

Starburst is often found cozied up in a hammock or cube.

If the boys were to be adopted in pairs, Dash and Marshmallow need to stay together, as do Skittles and Starburst.

Dash

Marshmallow

Skittles

Starburst

Marshmallow & Dash

Skittles & Starburst

[9
140
post-36762","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-available","tag-experienced-owner
["GET
