He bears a remarkable resemblance to a fuzzy caterpillar! He is highly enthusiastic about pea flakes or a small piece of fruit and likes to climb on top of or through a hay pile sometimes. He enjoys his wooden hut and fleece accessories, like tunnels and snuggle sacks. He is a low stress guy who doesn’t startle easily and sits still when I reach in to scratch his head.

When he first arrived, Georgie had an issue with his eye and his feet and the vet was of the opinion that he was injured at some point. He had a fungal infection on his foot also. The problems have been resolved, however his toes/feet are deformed and the vet has said he may have orthopedic issues in the future.

He has never been bonded with other guinea pigs, but seems to respond to the piggy excitement from nearby enclosures during feeding/cleaning times.

Georgie

[100
129
post-36072","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-in-progess","tag-medical-needs
["GET
