They come to greet me at the cage door and accept pets and treats.”

UPDATE 3/27/2023:

“They have been doing so well with my resident rats! None particularly like being held but they handle ok and have never bitten. Honey & Ice T are an almost identical pair.

Sugar – all white, red eyes Personality: cautious but curious, will take treats from hand, might nibble by mistake due to poor eyesight. Made quick friends with my resident rats.

Honey – black with shorter tail than twinnie Ice-T and thin white patch on chest/belly. Shy but sweet. Sometimes willing to come up for treats/pets. Loves tunneling and digging.

Ice T- black with longer tail, larger white patch on belly. Calmest of the group so she handles the best. Shy but willing to come for treats. Escape risk if left unattended.

Alesia – black hooded with two spots on side. Friendliest of the group and first to greet you at the door of the cage. I was told she was also known to escape but that hasn’t been an issue for me personally unless they are in the pack and play for free roam time. Will let me hold her for a bit longer than the others but prefers to explore on her own terms.

Andromeda – black hooded. Twin to Alesia. Shy but curious. Sweet and playful with the other rats.“

Alesia

Andromeda

Honey

Ice T

Sugar

Alesia (left) & Andromeda (right)

These girls came to us on 2/21/2023 because their owner could no longer keep them.
