He’s the dominant rat, technically, but always takes his food after the others and cedes it to anyone who wants it. He sleeps a lot, loves his ladies, and enjoys full body scritches. When he’s playing he has the highest pitch squeak of the whole group, and sounds like a rat 1\/3 his size. It’s pretty funny. He can be skittish. He hates being told he’s a good boy in a high pitch, which I tend to do. He gets nervous when I reach for him. However, I can wake him from a deep sleep without any concern and he no longer bites, at all.”<\/p>\n
<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hosting.photobucket.com\/images\/ff234\/MaineRatRescue\/charles.jpg\" width=\"666\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Charles came to us in August 2021 from a different shelter – he was biting and unable to make friends.
